Friday 21st September

Today was animation, the last subject in Lens Based Media. The first part of the day was doing the photography crit. This was my final piece:

This was all about pain. I used my brother as the model because unfortunately he is going through a really difficult time at the moment as he had a very serious accident with his arm. He was unable to go to school and unable to do anything with his right hand which was his writing hand. This was during the summer holidays as-well so unfortunately he was extremely bored and in pain. These photographs are sort of documentation of what he had to go through. The lighting is low key lighting, and I did edit on photoshop because I felt like I could increased the contrast and decrease the brightness.

The next part of the day was doing animation:

The title that we got was ‘Age of the times’, and our animation had to be about that, but in non obvious ways. This was hard for me as I am not a good drawer, and I felt like I was proper overthinking everything and my work wasn’t as successful as it could be so I will be doing another animation when I have time, before the assessment date.
